How to Write a Paragraph

A paragraph is a group of sentences that are all
about one topic. Every paragraph needs to have 3 parts.

The Beginning
A TOPIC SENTENCE is usually the first sentence of a paragraph. This sentence
tells exactly what the paragraph is about. It is the main idea sentence.
If
you were writing about Star Wars, a topic sentence could be:
Star Wars is a great movie.

The Middle
SUPPORTING SENTENCES are detail sentences that tell more about the topic.
If
you were writing about Star Wars, supporting sentences might be:
Star Wars is very exciting because there are many
space battles.
Star Wars has a very scary villain named Darth
Vader.
Luke
Skywalker is the hero and he is very interesting.

The End
A CONCLUDING SENTENCE is usually the last sentence in your paragraph. It is
a summary of your topic. The concluding sentence retells the
main idea.

you were writing about Star Wars, your concluding sentence might be:
