Reading instruction will continue using the Pathway Readers for Grade 6 (Step by Step). The Pathway
workbook will be continued as well.
Reading comprehension will be developed through completion of the
Pathway workbook and written answers to questions from the book.

Expository Writing
Most expository writing practice will involve the non-fiction
topics of science, U.S. history, and U.S geography. These writing exercises will be done as the material is
mastered.

Vocabulary
Vocabulary words will be taken from our reading and
non-fiction studies. Custom created vocabulary activities will be created on Edhelper and used as needed.
These
exercises will continue on a daily basis. Grade 4 and Grade 5 reviews will be
used.
Thank
you Notes and Letters
This is an excellent activity to do during
homeschool. Whenever Eric receives a gift or some other nice favor from
someone, he writes a thank you letter, addresses it, stamps it, and mails
it. He also writes letters to
family members who are traveling.
