United States HISTORY is the STORY of the country that we live in: The United States of America (sometimes just called “America”).

To learn about the history of our country, you will do many things in school. You will read stories about people and events in your binder. You will watch videos and movies that tell some of the stories of the history of America. You might do some special projects to help you understand how kids and adults lived a long time ago.

One project that you are going to do is to make your
own history timeline while you study United States history. This will be YOUR story of the United States.

As you learn about people and events, you can put pictures of them on your timelime. You can color the pictures if you like. You can write notes about the people and events.
